Science badges
As a follow up to my earlier post on science blogs. I heard about the Order Of The Science Scouts Of Exemplary Repute And Above Average Physique a (mock) Scientific alternative to the Boy Scouts. They have Science Badges, some of which I need to get for this site. Like the “I blog about science” badge:

I have probably done enough for the “Destroyer of Quackery” badge:

Only level 1 for this one, as I have never had good access to dry ice, or the liquid nitrogen required for level 2 and 3.

All these come from “The Science Creative Quarterly“, which seems to be something like what you would get if you crossed Nature with The Onion.

Ha! I totally pwn you at the freezing merit badge, being an experienced level 2 (mostly due to dry ice being used in copious amounts as a theatrical effect) and I’m also definitely deserving of The “experienced with electrical shock” badge (LEVEL III), having received more potentially life-threatening electric shocks than I can remember.
And I’ve also received a lot of electric shocks.
What? Who said that?
I have never (consciously) shocked anyone. But having gone for Physio I have been shocked. Didn’t do me any harm at all.
Do you hear buzzing? I head buzzing.
